Great Reasons to Engage in Planned Giving Today
I want to be remembered
I want to make a difference
I want to choose my legacy
IRA Charitable Contribution
The IRA charitable contribution allows taxpayers aged 70½ or older to donate up to $100,000 from their individual retirement accounts (IRA) directly to charitable nonprofits, without it counting towards their adjusted gross income. This tax incentive can provide needed support for the work of arts and cultural institutions like the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC).
Leaving a Gift in Your Will
A gift to SOPAC in your will leaves a lasting legacy, ensuring that the arts continue to enrich lives in our community for years to come. A simple sentence is all it takes to include SOPAC:
“I give to the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC), a nonprofit corporation currently located at 1 SOPAC Way, South Orange, NJ 07079, or it’s successor thereto, ______________* [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose.”
Memorials and Tribute Gifts
Donations can be made to SOPAC in honor of or in memory of a loved one. These tribute gifts are recognized and acknowledged in SOPAC’s playbill and newsletter. Naming opportunities are also available.
