Wheelchair Accessibility & Handicap Parking
Accessible seating is located on the Orchestra level. These seats are designated as such when purchasing tickets online. Tickets for accessible seats may be purchased online, via phone, or in person.
If a member of your party is in a wheelchair please let us know if the chair is oversized, has any special equipment (i.e.: oxygen tank) or whether the party member can transfer from the chair to a theatre seat.
The Herb + Milly Iris Gallery,on the second and third floors, as well as the SOPAC Loft, on the third floor, are accessible via elevator. All restrooms in the building have accessible facilities.
There are accessible parking spaces located in the SOPAC/NJ Transit parking lot. Please see the Parking Map for handicap parking locations.
Large Print Programs
Large Print programs are available at SOPAC-presented performances.
Assisted Listening Devices
Assisted Listening Devices (ALDs) are available at performances that utilize the audio system. ALDs can be used free of charge, the Box Office will however ask that a driver’s license or other identification be left as a deposit.
An audio description of theatre performances are available on occasion. Patrons with vision loss may request an earpiece attached to a hand-held transistor and listen to a live, objective and concise description of the action on stage, in between dialogue and/or music. Reserve an earpiece by contacting Audience Services.
American Sign Language
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation is available upon request. Requests must be made through Audience Services at least two weeks prior to a performance.
Braille signage is in place throughout the building.
Registered service animals assisting persons with disabilities are permitted in the SOPAC theatre. Please contact Audience Services if you are attending an event with a service animal.
SOPAC does not currently have Open Captioning services available however, we are working towards providing this service at future programming.
