We’re off to see the wizard! Follow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the classic MGM film. The timeless story in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz continues to thrill audiences worldwide. With a cast of 70 singing some of the most beloved songs of all time, including “Over the Rainbow,” “Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead!,” and “If I Were King of the Forest,” this production is a spectacle the whole family will enjoy!

The groundbreaking Broadway musical Jesus Christ Superstar blends rock, gospel, folk, funk, and modern language to tell the story of the final week of Jesus’ life, leading to his betrayal by Judas and crucifixion by the Romans. A global phenomenon since its debut, the show reimagines these extraordinary events through Judas Iscariot’s perspective, exploring the complex relationships among Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, the disciples, and the Roman Empire. By fusing ancient history with modern sensibilities, Jesus Christ Superstar examines enduring themes of fame, revolution, radicalism, and humility.

Each year, thousands of submissions are juried by a panel of distinguished artists, photographers, museum curators, and arts advocates. The result is an exciting and eclectic body of work from the perspective of young emerging artists. INSPIRED MINDS is sponsored by the Iris Family. Framing is generously donated by the South Orange Frame Shop.

Kevin McLaughlin/Renaissance Productions Presents Riot: From Rebellion to Redemption A Documentary film about Newark

This is the first public screening of the documentary film Riot: From Rebellion to Redemption since the film premiered on PBS stations earlier this year. The film takes a hard look at the causes and effects of the Newark Riot/Rebellion of 1967. This screening will present the Director's Cut, featuring an additional 23 minutes of fascinating material not included in the broadcast version, followed by a Q&A with the film's director, Kevin McLaughlin, and Michelle Miller, renowned journalist and winner of multiple Emmys and the Edward R. Murrow Award.
