Join us for the grand unveiling of the Juneteenth Community Art Project!

This project will be created Friday, June 17 during a Community Paint and Sip in Spiotta Park. Even the painters won’t know what the final project looks like. Come share the excitement as we unveil this community art project commemorating Juneteenth.

Enjoy live music with Dre Barnes Trio, light bites and refreshments. Cash bar. This event is free and open to the public.

This is a South Orange Downtown project in collaboration with Good Crowd Events, CINC, South Orange Performing Arts Center, and The Herb + Milly Iris Gallery.

Community Paint and Sip

Paint your piece of the Juneteenth Community Art Project in this guided outdoor painting event.

You’ll be given a 12”x12” board which is your pixel of the larger piece of art commemorating Juneteenth. Experienced leaders will guide and inspire you in painting your piece with patterns or images representative of Juneteenth.

DJ Roc will provide music to paint and groove to. Dancing is absolutely permitted! All supplies provided. Bring your own refreshments.

The painting event is suitable for ages 18 and over. Space is limited to 25 people. If you miss out on reserving a spot to participate in the project, feel free to bring your own supplies, set up, and paint your own masterpiece. RSVP here.
