SOPAC welcomes the Mainstage debut of award-winning comic Joe DeRosa! Many know Joe from his recurring appearance as Dr. Caldera on Better Call Saul, and his six top-ten charting stand-up albums, as well as his regular performances on TV, film & radio. But to experience his live comedy is to experience the artist at his rawest, realest, and most acerbic. Don’t miss this brilliant comic live at SOPAC!

Joe DeRosa

“Delivers his rants with unmistakable verve; still, he doesn’t mind letting audiences peek at the emotionally tangled and disappointed guy just underneath”
Time Out NY
“Very sour, but very funny”
Patton Oswalt

Joe DeRosa has made a name for himself in comedy and entertainment with six top-ten charting stand-up albums and a multitude of performances on television, radio, and in comedy clubs across the country and around the world. Joe’s debut one-hour special, titled You Let Me Down, premiered on Comedy Central in 2017, which he wrote, performed and directed. He recurred on AMC’s Better Call Saul as crooked veterinarian Dr. Caldera and currently hosts the heavily followed podcast We’ll See You In Hell, where he and Patrick Walsh review genre movies.

From 2020 through 2024 DeRosa co-hosted the wildly popular Taste Buds—a food debate show—with Impractical Jokers’ Sal Vulcano, which was distributed through DeRosa and Vulcano’s co-owned No Press Productions Network. Other select credits include: Inside Amy Schumer, Louie, Bored to Death, Chelsea Lately, Grand Theft Auto V, and two half-hour Comedy Central specials. Joe has also written, directed, and starred in a series of web shorts and television commercials. Additionally, his writing has been featured on Netflix’s Tires and Wet Hot American Summer, HBO’s Crashing, Comedy Central’s Jeff and Some Aliens, as well as The Pete Holmes Show for TBS.

Joe’s latest hour special, I Never Promised You a Rose Garden, which he also directed, was filmed at the historic Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville in September of 2024 and is set to release in spring of 2025.

Blake Wexlar

Blake Wexler started doing stand-up at the age of 15 as a high school student in Philadelphia, continued performing in Boston while attending Emerson College, and ultimately moved to Los Angeles in 2011.

In addition to writing for and appearing on Comedy Central & ABC, Blake also has been a featured performer in (too) many comedy festivals and can be regularly heard on The Cracked, Daily Zeitgeist & The Todd Glass Show podcasts. He is also the host of the gameshow LIES! for the Philadelphia Eagles.

All four of Blake’s critically acclaimed stand-up comedy records debuted at #1 on the iTunes & Amazon comedy charts, and his album 12 Years of Voicemails from Todd Glass to Blake Wexler charted on Billboard.

Blake’s debut hour stand-up special Daddy Long Legs was released in September 2023 with 800 Pound Gorilla Media, and critics have said it makes a “grand impression” with “an agile balance of silly and sincere”, calling Blake “an incredible storyteller who can make scenes come to life for an audience.” It currently has 175,000+ views on YouTube.
