The groundbreaking Broadway musical Jesus Christ Superstar blends rock, gospel, folk, funk, and modern language to tell the story of the final week of Jesus’ life, leading to his betrayal by Judas and crucifixion by the Romans. A global phenomenon since its debut, the show reimagines these extraordinary events through Judas Iscariot’s perspective, exploring the complex relationships among Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, the disciples, and the Roman Empire. Originally released as a concept album, its iconic 1970s rock score features classics like “Superstar,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” and “Gethsemane.” By fusing ancient history with modern sensibilities, Jesus Christ Superstar examines enduring themes of fame, revolution, radicalism, and humility.

While there is no inappropriate language or adult concepts present, it is still Jesus Christ Superstar. As such, there are some delicate scenes. We welcome children of all ages, but it may be best to discuss the historical events prior.
