Blues in the Loft

Blues bassist and Blues in the Loft curator Mike Griot leads Blues People, a Blues mega-band featuring some of the most talented tour veterans you’ll ever see all together presenting stories and standards like you’ve never experienced.

This all-star band includes Gene Lake on drums (Maxwell/Henry Threadgill/Joe Zawinul/Marcus Miller, David Sanborn), Kelton Cooper on lead vocals and guitar (Kool & the Gang/Black Widow Blues) Victor Burks on keyboards and vocals (Jamie Fox, Laura Branigan, JoE), Mike Griot on bass (Sue Foley, Michael Hill, Omar [Lyefooke], Deborah Coleman, Russell Gunn) and special guests saxophonist extraordinaire Tony Orbach and stellar trumpeter James Gibbs III.
