SOPAC is committed to making the arts experience as complete and enjoyable as possible for all patrons. If you or a member of your party is in need of assistance please notify SOPAC at the time your tickets are purchased.

If you are planning to use any of the services available we ask that you make every attempt to arrive at the theatre at least 45 minutes prior to the performance start time.

Wheelchair Accessibility & Handicap Parking

Accessibility Wheelchair Icon AccessAccessible seating is located on the Orchestra level. These seats are designated as such on this theatre seating chart and also when purchasing tickets online. Tickets for accessible seats may be purchased online, via phone, or in person.

If a member of your party is in a wheelchair please let us know if the chair is oversized, has any special equipment (i.e.: oxygen tank) or whether the party member can transfer from the chair to a theatre seat.

The Herb & Milly Iris Gallery, on the second and third floors, as well as the SOPAC Loft, on the third floor, are accessible via elevator. All restrooms in the building have accessible facilities.

There are eight (8) accessible parking spaces located in the SOPAC/NJ Transit parking lot. Please see the Parking Map for handicap parking locations. If necessary, patron drop-off and pickup at the main entrance is available, however, it must be arranged through the Box Office.

Large Print Programs

printLarge Print programs are available at SOPAC-presented performances.

Assisted Listening Devices

hearingAssisted listening devices are available at performances that utilize the audio system.

Audio Description 

Audio description will be available for the upcoming Sunday, January 27, 2019 3PM matinee of American Theater Group’s Tell Them I’m Still Young. At this performance, patrons with vision loss may request an earpiece attached to a small, hand-size transistor so that they may listen to a live, objective, and concise description of the action on stage, in between dialogue and/or music.

American Sign Language 

American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation is available upon request. Requests must be made at least two weeks prior to a performance.

Braille Signage

braileBraille signage is in place throughout the building. 

 

Service Animals

dogIf you or someone in your party will attend an event with a service animal, please inform the Box Office so that we may ensure your reservation includes an aisle seat.

Open Captioning

SOPAC does not currently have Open Captioning services available however, we are working towards providing this service at future programming.
