Larry Brodey

Larry Brodey has worked in the plumbing specialty industry since 1973, beginning his career with DURST, the family business founded in 1901 by his great-great-grandfather. After the company was sold, Larry later reacquired it, continuing his family’s legacy. He went on to acquire JACLO, where his creativity, design instincts, and willingness to challenge convention helped establish him as a pioneer in the decorative plumbing industry. His contributions to decorative plumbing have earned him numerous awards and recognition from the Decorative Plumbing & Hardware Association (DPHA), along with multiple design patents.

Beyond business, Larry has always believed in creating opportunities for others and using success to make a positive difference. This philosophy has guided his longtime commitment to philanthropy and community service. He served for more than 15 years with JVS and has held numerous leadership roles with SOPAC, the South Orange Performing Arts Center, including serving as an officer and a member of the Board of Governors and Executive Committee, before a two year leave from the board.

Larry earned a degree in Economics and Finance and has lived in South Orange for more than two decades. He and his wife, Carol, have been married for 45 years and have a daughter, Morgan. Through entrepreneurship, innovation, mentorship, and community service, Larry’s legacy is defined not only by the businesses he has built, but also by the opportunities he has created and the people and organizations he has supported along the way.
