Begin the journey into self expression.

This hands on art-making workshop designed for young people in the fifth through eight grades will explore the post-World War II Abstract Expressionism movement. Students will experiment with techniques used by the ground-breakers of abstract art like Jackson Pollock and Willem de Cooning. As the grand final, students’ original masterpieces will be displayed in a culminating exhibition in The Herb & Milly Iris Gallery.

We believe in the importance of engaging children in visual art-making, and understand its value in fostering creativity, building confidence, pride and self-esteem. This workshop will give students the tools they need to begin their artistic journey into self-expression and creative thinking.

The $25 fee covers a box lunch and materials.
