Ms. Hutchinson’s show, on display September 10-November 23, contains paintings that capture the commentary of performance. In each piece, Hutchinson shows incredible ability to capture moments of beauty, passion and humanity. Her paintings serve as an artist’s observation of the human form suspended in a crystalized moment of action.

Ms. Hutchinson is a master painter, equally at home using watercolor, acrylics or oil paints.

Herb & Milly Iris Gallery curator, Jeremy Moss, discovered Ms. Hutchinson’s work at Open Orange 2017, a juried art show at ValleyArts. Ms. Hutchinson won best in show that year and Mr. Moss bought one of the pieces from the same show for his personal collection. Moss said he ‘fell in love’ with the painting of a female warrior that was strong, accessible and protective all at the same time. He is confident that art patrons will be equally enthralled by these visually arresting paintings.

Curator’s Notes:
“Decades of Dance holds special significance for me. I was so captivated with Ms. Hutchinson’s depiction of these beautiful dancers in motion, and couldn’t help but be reminded of my dear sister who was also a dancer. I dedicate this exhibition to the memory of Corinne Ferraby-Smith, my beloved sister.”
