The annual SOPAC Gala brings together patrons, community leaders and artists to raise significant funds to support local arts education, enrich individual lives, and serve those in our community and beyond through arts experiences that inspire and transform.

 

Honorees

South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race, a nationally recognized non-profit committed to building and maintaining a thriving, racially integrated, suburban community.

 

 

 

 

Paul Bartick, longtime Board member, previous Board Chair (2016-2022) and supporter of SOPAC.

 

 

 

 

Entertainment

West Orange resident Mark Evans is a renowned Broadway and West End actor, singer, dancer and director who rose to fame playing lead roles in Mrs. Doubtfire, WaitressThe Play That Goes WrongThe Book of MormonWicked and many others. Most recently, he performed at SOPAC in the world premiere of the musical comedy The Last Supper.

 

 

 

Two-time winner of Amateur Night at The Apollo, Newark-native Alexis Morrast has performed on the Millennium Stage of the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and abroad throughout Europe and Africa. Currently a student at the Berklee College of Music, Morrast has already worked with Jazz greats including Wynton Marsalis, Greg Phillinganges, Steve Jordan, and many more.

The 2022 SOPAC Gala will be held at Orange Lawn Tennis Club, 305 North Ridgewood Road, South Orange, NJ 07079.

Tickets are $300 per person and include:

  • 6PM – Cocktails, Hors d’Oeuvres, Strolling Dinner, Silent Auction
  • 8PM – Live Auction, SOPAC Inspiration, Honoree Tribute, Entertainment
  • Dessert to follow
