The annual SOPAC Gala brings together patrons, community leaders and artists to celebrate SOPAC’s achievements and pay tribute to our supporters. As SOPAC’s largest fundraising event of the year, participation in our Gala raises critical funds for both arts education programs and operating support.

Venue

Due to damage to SOPAC’s lobby and mainstage, the Gala will be held at:

Drew University
36 Madison Ave, Madison, NJ 07940

Schedule:

  • 6PM @ Mead Hall: Cocktails and strolling dinner or pick-up a catered takeout meal from Bistro d’Azur in South Orange.
  • 8PM @ the Concert Hall, located within the Dorothy Young Center for the Arts: award presentation and performance by Michael Feinstein.

Honoring

Diana Hart, former SOPAC Board member and owner of Diana Hart Fine Catering

Lifetime Achievement Award

John Lee, Grammy Award-Winning Producer & Jazz All-Star

Entertainment

Michael Feinstein has built a dazzling career over the last three decades bringing the music of the Great American Songbook to the world. From recordings that have earned him five Grammy Award nominations to his Emmy-nominated PBS-TV specials, his acclaimed NPR series and concerts spanning the globe – in addition to his appearances at iconic venues such as The White House, Buckingham Palace, Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House – his work as an educator and archivist, define Feinstein as one of the most important musical forces of our time.
