Born in the Mississippi Delta in 1927 this legendary piano man has been writing and performing blues and jazz tunes for over 4 decades.  A fusion of rustic blues and jazz,  embellished with profound and often humorous lyrics, his songs have been covered by Van Morrison, The Who, Eric Clapton, Elvis Costello and Bonnie Raitt to name a few. Come experience this Grammy nominated musician’s gift for writing a song with a "sting in the tail."
